THREE DAYS WORKSHOP ON FIRST CONVENING OF THE YOUTH POLICY WORKING GROUP ON ADOLESCENT HEALTH, BY YP FOUNDATION
The YP foundation organized a three days workshop on the First Convening of the Youth Policy Working Group on Adolescent Health at FebHotel Aashraye, Nehru Place, New Delhi on 3rd November, 2018 to 5th November, 2018. The workshop was attended by 18 representatives (CSO’s and Govt. department) from different states and regions, who are working for the welfare of the adolescent and youth, where CAN YOUTH also took part. The representative from CAN YOUTH was Mr. Sentiwati, the project coordinator of Development 4 Adolescent. The reason for this workshop is to draft a policy on adolescent and pass to the government (concern authority) in order to fill the gaps in their work or functioning’s.
1. To redraft the youth policy on adolescent health.
2. To understand the working culture of different regions, who are working for the welfare of the adolescent.
3. To understand the strategies of different CSO’s.
4. To know the available policies for supporting the adolescent.
During these three days workshop, the participants shared on their view points on adolescent health and problems and also shared on their functioning for uplifting/empowering the adolescent. The participants were divided into three groups and redrafted the vision statement, objectives, values, membership and action plan for the first one year plan. The participants also discussed on setting up a regional coordinator and state coordinator in different parts of the Nation for smooth function and addressing their issues and problems of the adolescent in the National level. Activities like group discussion, group activities and individual sharing were carried to build a rapport between the participants as well as for personal development.
